Whitewater paddling is great on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River; Snow Lake is right by the Beauty Lake Trail. Any time is a fine time at Snow Lake if you love the outdoors. Yodeler Motel is a fine place to get some rest, and if you've had enough of Snow Lake, Becker Lake is close by. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Why       not camp at Island Lake Campground since you're here at Snow Lake, and Beartooth Plateau is a beautiful site any time of year. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Red Lodge Mountain; Beartooth Lake Campground is a fine local campground. At Glacier Lake South Dam near Snow Lake there are some exciting things to see, and hiking along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail is delightful fun. The amount of rain that falls at Snow                  Lake is close to the national average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is October. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Snow Lake reach the 70's with night lows in the 30's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Snow Lake. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range.
