Smith Lake is pretty arid typically; May is when you get the most rain here while February is mostly the driest month. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the North High Park Trail, and South Fork Brokenback Creek is in close proximity to Smith Lake and is always a delight to go to. This lake is so wonderful.       There's so much to do here at Smith Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Leigh Creek Campground is a delightful location for that. Throughout the summertime, highs mostly are in the 90's at Smith Lake. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Smith Lake. So much cool stuff to do here at Smith Lake, too good to be true. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you                  can always go whitewater paddling on Tensleep Creek; J Smith Dam is scenic. Smith Lake is right by the Kinky White Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Smith Lake has to offer, you can camp at Flagstaff Campground. Dry Gulch is a wonderful place to have a look at close to Smith Lake; a beautiful lake like J Smith Reservoir is a pleasant location to stop by. This lake is so wonderful.
