The Six Lakes is pretty dried up mostly; through the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Wind River Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Gros Ventre River, and there are fine places to explore along the Purdy Basin Trail. All the outdoors cool stuff near The Six Lakes will keep you coming back time and again.

| | While you're here at The Six Lakes, you could also stop at charming Farney Lakes; you can go for a hike on the Pass Creek Trail. Crystal Peak is clearly visible from The Six Lakes, and Shoal Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. The Six Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Wind River Range. winter are in the 0's. Going for a hike on the Granite Highline Trail is always a glorious adventure; Granite Creek Campground is a glorious campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Granite
Creek, and The Six Lakes is a good place to visit for more than one day, Crystal Creek Campground is a good place to camp nearby.
