Stay the night at Crazy Woman Campground; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Buffalo is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. All through the summer months at Simmon Reservoir highs are frequently in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Simmon Reservoir dipping down into the-10's       during winter nights. Simmon Reservoir is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Lower Doyle Creek Campground is a nice location to camp nearby, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Seven Elk Reservoir is one of those nearby. An exciting thing to visit near Simmon Reservoir is Eychaner Dam; do take a hike on the Angeline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent location for whitewater paddling close to Simmon Reservoir is Powder River - Middle Fork,                  and Simmon Reservoir is right by the Cash Trail. Around Simmon Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Bighorn Mountains. You can run the rapids of Powder River - North Fork near Simmon Reservoir, and if you've had enough of Simmon Reservoir, Eychaner Reservoir is close by.
