Take a hike on the Silver Lake Trail, naturally you could also pop by Upper Silver Lakes while you're here; it's not far at all. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Camping is available at Big Sandy Campground; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Boundary Creek Trail. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Pinedale Inn,       and get drenched paddling on Bull Lake Creek. Silver Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range. Silver Lake gets very little rain; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Having a good time in the Wind River Range is simple. Hiking along the Crossover Trail is delightful fun, and at Silver Lake you can see Mitchells Nipple. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Silver Lake through the summertime are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
