Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Silver Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Silver Lake. Silver Lake is ordinarily a quite arid spot; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. There's just no way       anybody can get bored here at Silver Lake. There are perfect places to look at along the Story Penrose Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Sheridan. Lots of people from Sheridan come to Silver Lake, and swing by Jenks Creek it's a great spot to have a look at. Go for a hike on the Stockwell Trail, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Clear Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Penrose Park Trail. You'll                  need more than a day to explore everything Silver Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cabin Creek Trailer Campground - Bighorn National Forest.
