Silver Lake is located in the Medicine Bow Mountains. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Silver Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Silver Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Sucker Lake next to Silver Lake, and on a pleasant day       you can take a hike along the Medicine Bow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Snowy Range is a great place to do that. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Silver Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mirror Lake Campground. Going for a hike on the Circle Trail is always a good adventure; Silver Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Silver Lake Campground is a great location to camp nearby. Around Silver Lake you don’t                  get a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls through May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. And if that's not enough there's loads more exciting stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. North Platte River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at The Sage And Sand Motel LLC, and at Silver Lake you always meet someone from Laramie. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Silver Lake.
