The beauty of Sill Lake is reason enough to stop by. Sill Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. High temperatures at Sill Lake through the summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Sill Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Sill Lake is a good spot of typical rain; June is when you get the most rain here, and October is when it's the driest.

You'll need more than a day to explore everything Sill Lake has to offer, you can camp at Beartooth Lake Campground; Crandall Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Near Sill Lake you come across the Clay Butte Trail which is a good hiking trail, and there's some flowing water close by, Little Bear Creek is a stream you can take a look at while here. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range. Stay the night at
Top Of The World Campground, and obviously, this is a splendid region for people who like lakes, Abandoned Lake is a lake nearby. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Absaroka Range is excellent! On a perfect day
at Sill Lake you can take a hike along the Beauty Lake Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Red Lodge Mountain while you're here. Here at Sill Lake you can observe Beartooth Butte, and you're almost certainly
keen on lakes, Beartooth Lake is one of those close by.
A short spree to Beartooth Falls is always worthwhile; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River.
