It's always fun to stop by Shrimp Lake. Shrimp Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Buck Lake, and don't leave Shrimp Lake without first going for a hike along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Shrimp Lake; Specimen Ridge Trail is a great local trail, and Shrimp Lake is a pleasant site to camp, Pebble Creek Campground is a pleasant site.

| | If you adore the outdoors, you'll love Shrimp Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone offers some great whitewater; you can stay the night at Soda Butte Campground. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Yellowstone North is a good place to spend a night or two, and there's wonderful hiking along the Miller Creek Trail. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Absaroka Range is excellent!. Now, you
may feel that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range. Round Prairie is a perfect spot; since you're here, you could stop at Pebble Creek. It is very arid here at Shrimp Lake usually; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest.
