Shoshone Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range. Camping at Shoshone Lake is good fun, Dickinson Creek Campground is a good local campground; there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the High Meadow Trail. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be. Dry warm beds await you at Silver Spur Motel; Cyclone Basin is a nice location to stretch your legs a bit. This lake       is so wonderful. Near Shoshone Lake you find the Smith Lake Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and Shoshone Lake is a pleasant site to camp, Bruce Campground is a pleasant site. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Wind River Range. On a tremendous day at Shoshone Lake you can take a hike along the Pinto Park Trail, and if you need a place to stay Downtown Motel is a good choice. For the duration of the days of summer here at Shoshone                  Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, generally in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Shoshone Lake sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Shoshone Lake you acquire some pleasant water scenery at Shoshone Lake Dam, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Shoshone Lake is just a very short distance away.
