There's so much to do here at Shoshone Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dickinson Creek Campground is a fine place for that, and if you're here, you could also stop at delightful Beauty Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Shoshone Lake really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. There's good hiking along the Pinto Park Trail, and Cyclone Basin       is a good place. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Shoshone Lake without first going for a hike along the Smith Lake Trail; after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a good location to spend a night or two. Shoshone Lake Dam is worth going to while you're here; there are some nice whitewater spots on Middle Popo Agie River. Take a little tour to Shoshone Creek while                  you're here at Shoshone Lake, and you'll find a beautiful lake called Shoshone Lake. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Wind River Range rocks! Good hiking is available along the High Meadow Trail, and if you came to camp Bruce Campground is a great spot to do that. High temperatures at Shoshone Lake throughout the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Shoshone Lake.
