Shoestring Lake is located in the Wind River Range. It is very dried out here at Shoestring Lake usually; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Having a great time in the Wind River Range is uncomplicated. Best Western Pinedale Inn is a great place to get some rest. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bull Lake Creek,       and a picturesque lake like Silver Lake is a great place to take a look at. What a place this is for outdoors people. If you came to camp Big Sandy Campground is a splendid spot to do that; hiking along the Silver Lake Trail is magnificent fun. Through the summertime highs here at Shoestring Lake get into the 70's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Shoestring Lake dipping down into the-10's                  through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Jessie Lake is a pleasant lake in the neighborhood of Shoestring Lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Cottonwood Trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Wind River Range has to offer. Camping at Scab Creek Campground is always a glorious experience; there's always Silver Lake Dam to visit near Shoestring Lake.
