Hiking along the Gaylord Lake Trail is splendid fun, and if you get bored of Shoe Lake you could also have a look at close by Little Moccasin Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Bull Lake Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Big Sandy Campground is a perfect place to camp. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Wind River Range. Mount Popo Agie is a peak you can catch       a glimpse of from Shoe Lake, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Moss Lake Trail. Shoe Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wind River Range. Not much rain falls here at Shoe Lake; May is when you get the most rain here; December is the month with the least moisture. There's some flowing water close by, East Fork Marys Creek is a stream you can check out while you're here, and a lake close by is Long Lake. So much fun stuff in the                  Wind River Range, just mind-blowing. Camping is available at Dickinson Creek Campground. For the period of the days of summer at Shoe Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's; the night is quite colder of course, frequently in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Shoe Lake.
