Shoal Lake

The peak of Steamboat Peak can be observed from Shoal Lake. There's so much to do here at Shoal Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kozy Campground is a great place for that. The category III Wooden Bridge to mouth segment of Granite Creek is 3 miles long. If you donít want to risk getting covered with water this run of Granite Creek is probably not for you. Hoback River has a good 20-mile-from-beginning-to-end grade I-III whitewater sweep nearby, the
Bondurant to Snake River portion. This portion of Hoback River is recommended for whitewater paddlers of medium skill. Don't go whitewater kayaking or rafting ahead of first checking restrictions; it's hazardous matter.
