So many amusing things in the Wind River Range, just striking. The top of Big Sheep Mountain is easily spotted from Shirley Lake, and close by you locate the Jim Creek Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Dubois; a lake nearby is Twin Lakes. All through the warm days of summer at Shirley Lake highs are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the       30's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Shirley Lake. Valaite Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Green River. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Boulder Creek for all you adrenaline kick people; there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Lakeside Trail. You absolutely should                  have a thing about Shirley Lake. Porcupine Creek Falls is always fun to check out, and why not camp at The Narrows Campground if you're here at Shirley Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Porcupine Trail is a great hiking trail close to Shirley Lake. And that's not all there is to do here in the Wind River Range. Around Shirley Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the snow is January, and July is the month with the least moisture.
