Around Shelf Lakes you don’t get a lot of rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Just can't get enough of the Medicine Bow Mountains. At Shelf Lakes you can make out Browns Peak, and Shelf Lakes is right by the Lakes Trail. And that's not all you can do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at The Sage And Sand Motel LLC, and lakes are such       serene sites, why not take a look at Cutthoat Lake. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on North Platte River; nearby Snowy Range Pass is a good place to go. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Mirror Lake Campground while you're here at Shelf Lakes, and do take a hike on the Medicine Bow Trail. Camping is available at Lewis Lake Campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the                  Circle Trail. All through the warm months here at Shelf Lakes, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Shelf Lakes are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Shelf Lakes. A stunning lake like Lost Lake near Shelf Lakes is a great place to pop by, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Snowy Range.
