This lake is one of the great places here in the Bighorn Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. On a perfect day at Sheepherder Lake you can take a hike along the Cliff Lake Trail, and Crater Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. All the outdoors cool things in the Bighorn Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. Very beautiful scenery and great skiing is what you       get at Big Horn Ski, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tensleep Creek. Coffeen Park Campground is a nice local campground, and nearby you locate the Edelman Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Through the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 60's at Sheepherder Lake with overnight lows in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at                  Sheepherder Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Bighorn Mountains for a great time. While you're here at Sheepherder Lake, you could also explore charming Cliff Lake. Sheepherder Lake gets very little rain; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There is a fine hiking trail next to Sheepherder Lake called the Mistymoon Trail, and Geneva Pass is a perfect site to check out. Be careful coming to Sheepherder Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again.
