This place, Sheep Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Shoshone River - South Fork offers some pleasant whitewater; nearby you stumble on the Frontier Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Dubois; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we       recommend Greybull River. Throughout the months of summer at Sheep Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Sheep Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Going for a hike on the Cougar Pass Trail is always a tremendous adventure. You'll need more than a day to look                  at everything Sheep Lake has to offer, you can camp at Double Cabin Campground. Go for a hike on the Wiggins Fork Trail. There's so much to do here at Sheep Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Jack Creek Campground is a good location for that. Sheep Lake is a location that is reasonably dried out regularly; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January.
