If you are in Johnson county it's always a good idea to stop by Lake Shamrock. Be careful coming to Lake Shamrock, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you need a place to stay The Passage Resort at Big Horn is a magnificent choice, of course you could also explore Lake Alibi while you're here; it's not far at all. Not much precipitation falls here at Lake Shamrock; of all the months in a year April is the one with the most snow, and the driest month

| | of the year is February. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Bighorn Mountains. What would winter be without some skiing at Antelope Butte; from Lake Shamrock you acquire a glorious sight of Black Rib. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Tongue River, and going for a hike on the Edelman Trail is always a wonderful adventure. This lake is so wonderful. at Coffeen Park Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Game Creek Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bighorn Mountains. And if that's not enough there's heaps more entertaining things to do in the Bighorn
Mountains. There are some great whitewater spots on Paintrock Creek; don't leave Lake Shamrock without first going for a hike along the Cliff Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A nice nearby hotel is Alamo Motel Sheridan. The
slopes of Big Horn Ski are so inviting nobody can resist, and why not camp at Lake Geneva Campground while you're here at Lake Shamrock. At Lake Shamrock during the warm months highs are in the 60's. Summer nighttime lows sink
down to the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Lake Shamrock night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
