While you're here at Shadow Lake you can take a hike along the Big Sunday Trail, and if you're hooked on cool geologic highlights try Block Tower. All year is a pleasant time in the Wind River Range if you love the outdoors. You'll find a stunning lake called Cirque Lake near Shadow Lake; you could always explore Washakie Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Shadow Lake Trail is wonderful fun, and a pretty lake like       Billys Lake is a tremendous place to stop by. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Wind River Range. Paddling on Bull Lake Creek is so much fun. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Shadow Lake has to offer, you can camp at Dickinson Creek Campground. The sight of Bair Peak from Shadow Lake is wonderful, and a magnificent close by hotel is Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge. Yeah, come here to Shadow Lake for a magnificent time. Shadow                  Lake is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Big Sandy Campground is a splendid location to camp nearby; going for a hike along the Bears Ears Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Throughout the days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Shadow Lake while nighttime lows are mostly in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while Shadow Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. Around Shadow Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
