Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Sawtooth Lakes temperatures fall to the 0's. Don't leave Sawtooth Lakes without first going for a hike along the Mistymoon Trail, and camping at Highland Park Campground is always a fine experience. There are great places to explore       along the Solitude Trail, and at Sawtooth Lakes you can see Black Tooth Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and Tensleep Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. So much cool stuff to do at Sawtooth Lakes, so little time. Do explore Bard Lake near Sawtooth Lakes, it's a delightful lake, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Sheridan is a great location to spend a night                  or two. Man, is there a heap of fun stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. You'll come across a gorgeous lake called South Piney Lakes near Sawtooth Lakes; a great site to camp here at Sawtooth Lakes is Lake Geneva Campground. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Bighorn Mountains, too great to be true. Sawtooth Lakes gets very little precipitation; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow, and February is the month with the least moisture.
