Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sawtooth Lake; Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail is a delightful local trail. Throughout the long summer days at Sawtooth Lake highs are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. Highs all through the wintertime are commonly in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at       Sawtooth Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. Sparhawk Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; you can run the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. This lake is so wonderful. Sawtooth Mountain is delightful and can be seen from Sawtooth Lake; Sawtooth Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Island Lake Campground is a magnificent local campground. So many amusing things to do at Sawtooth Lake, so little time. The Morrison Trail                  offers hiking at its best, and if you came to camp Long Lake Campground is a great place to do that. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Red Lodge Mountain, and if you need a location to stay Yodeler Motel is a delightful choice. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. From a rainfall point of view Sawtooth Lake is a quite common location; through June this area sees the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Absaroka Range. A lake close by is Top Lake; Sawtooth Meadows is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. So many cool things in the Absaroka Range, just mind-boggling.
