This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Tensleep Creek; since you're here at Sapphire Lake it's a perfect idea to explore Medicine Park. Around Sapphire Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; throughout the month of April you get the most snow around here while February is commonly the driest month. Camping is available at Lake       Geneva Campground, and going for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail is always a fine adventure. This place, the Bighorn Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Near Sapphire Lake you hit upon the Solitude Trail which is a good hiking trail, and at Sapphire Lake you can see Bomber Mountain. So much fun stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains, not enough time. All through the warmest time of the year here at Sapphire Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 60's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 30's.
