Through the summer months here at Sand Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's while Sand Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. If you came to camp Deep Creek Campground is a fine place to do that, also Wheatland Reservoir Dam is worth checking out if you're here.       This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Sand Lake without first going for a hike along the Circle Trail, and a wonderful lake like Sand Lake Reservoir is a great place to visit. Sand Lake is a beautiful lake in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Having a brilliant time at Sand Lake is simple. Good hiking is available along the Lakes Trail, and do stop at Corral Lake, it's a delightful lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sand Lake; Medicine Bow Trail is                  a good local trail, and at Sand Lake you can spot Windy Hill. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Camping at Lewis Lake Campground is always a tremendous experience, and charming scenery and perfect skiing is what you acquire at Snowy Range. Sand Lake is usually a reasonably waterless location; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest.
