Sand Lake is frequently a relatively dried up location; through May this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. The Medicine Bow Mountains scenery is always beautiful. All the outdoors enjoyable things in close proximity to Sand Lake will keep you coming back many       times. You can catch a sight of Windy Hill from Sand Lake, and the skiing at Snowy Range is great. For the duration of the days of summer here at Sand Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Sand Lake throughout the wintertime frequently plunge into the 10's. So much entertaining stuff in the Medicine Bow Mountains,                  just astonishing. Sand Lake is right by the Medicine Bow Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Sand Lake is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Deep Creek Campground is a pleasant site to camp nearby, and if you've had enough of Sand Lake, Corral Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The Sage And Sand Motel LLC is a splendid site to get some rest, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lakes Trail.
