Custom Search     Sand Lake     There used to be a lodge there. It went out of business in the 60's. A few tried to do something with it but it never panned out. The park service took it over I think in the 80's but never had the money to remodel it. Says Mike Pickinpough I think the Sand Lake area is a very unique & beautiful place. We ride snowmobiles in the Snowies and to the Sand Lake area and I would like to get some info on the history of Sand Lake(Cabins, Dam, and any other info on the lake.
