The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Antelope Butte; not far from Round Lake you'll hit upon Upper Medicine Lodge Lake which is a picturesque lake. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Bighorn Mountains. One of the principal traits of the surroundings of Round Lake is Bear Mountain, and Big Horn Ski is a very popular ski area in close proximity.       Freezeout is a fine place to stretch your legs a bit; paddling on Shell Creek is so much fun. Not much rainfall falls here at Round Lake; most of the rain falls during June; February on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Paintrock Creek. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Round Lake has to offer, you can camp at Medicine Lodge Lake Campground. At Round Lake during the warm months highs are in the 60's, and during summer                  nights temperatures are in the 30's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Round Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Round Lake called the Edelman Trail. Lakes are nice; Lower Medicine Lodge Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Round Lake. Round Lake is a beautiful lake in the Bighorn Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Round Lake. Dry warm beds await you at The Passage Resort at Big Horn, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the North High Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Round Lake you can take a hike along the Kinky White Trail.
