This lake is located in the wonderful Wind River Range. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Ross Lake. Going for a hike along the C M Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; after a long day outdoors Best Western Pinedale Inn is a glorious location to spend a night or two. Ram Flat is a fine site, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping       wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wind River. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Take a hike on the Whiskey Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Guardian can be made out from Ross Lake, and Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a delightful place to get some rest. At Ross Lake throughout the summertime highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are generally                  in the 30's while Ross Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. Having a great time in the Wind River Range is easy. Circle Up Camper Court Shop is a splendid local campground, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Green River. Ross Lake is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Longhorn RV & Motel is a wonderful site to camp nearby, and hiking along the Ross Lake Trail is perfect fun.
