     Lakes are fine; Alkali Lake is a lake that's close to Ray Lake, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two. Ray Lake is a location that is reasonably waterless commonly; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest of the months is January. The scenery at Ray Dam next to Ray Lake is lovely, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western The Inn at Lander. So many cool things near Ray Lake, just mind-boggling.  
   Camping at Rocky Acres Campground is always a perfect experience, and of course, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Ray Reservoir is a lake nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. People from Riverton love to come to Ray Lake, and don't leave Ray Lake without first going for a hike along the Middle Fork Trail. There are delightful spots to look at along the Cold Spring Trail; going for a hike on the Blue Trail is always a pleasant adventure. This
 
               lake is so wonderful.
Summertime highs at Ray Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's while Ray Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. If you came to camp Ray Lake Cafe is a pleasant location to do that, and if you come at the right time of year, Middle Popo Agie River offers some perfect whitewater.
