This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Shoshone River - South Fork, and don't leave Ramshorn Lakes without first going for a hike along the Burroughs Creek Trail. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Absaroka Range. There's brilliant hiking along the Twilight       Creek Trail, and Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a pleasant place to get some rest. After a long day outdoors Best Western Pinedale Inn is a perfect place to spend a night or two; there are wonderful locations to explore along the Parque Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Circle Up Camper Court Shop; a lake close by is Rainbow Lake. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Places like Amoretti Park                  are perfect to explore. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Ramshorn Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Double Cabin Campground. It is very dry here at Ramshorn Lakes regularly; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Ramshorn Lakes. Ramshorn Lakes is not the only place close by, Virgin Lake is a close by lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Wind River offers some nice whitewater. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Ramshorn Lakes highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 40's.
