     It is very dried up here at Rainy Lake frequently; all through May this area sees the most rain while February is generally the driest month. Pleasant Valley is a pretty place any time of year, and close by you hit upon The Narrows which is a magnificent place to stop at. Rainy Lake is located in the Absaroka Range.
Be careful coming to the Absaroka Range, you might not ever wanna return home again. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not explore Bump-Sullivan
 
   Reservoir near Rainy Lake, and there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Buffalo Plateau Trail. Summertime highs at Rainy Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Rainy Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. Yeah, come here to Rainy Lake for a delightful time. A tour to Rainy Lake wouldn't be complete without  
               taking a look at Calcite Springs; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Coyote Creek Trail.
Comfort Inn Yellowstone North is a perfect site to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Rainy Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lava Creek Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Bumpus Butte can be seen from Rainy Lake, and you need to stop at The Needle if you're here. Yeah, come up here to the Absaroka Range for a magnificent time. Antelope Creek is a great site to take a look at, and a pretty lake like Lost Lake is a wonderful place to visit.
This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Tower Fall Campground, and going for a hike on the Coyote Creek Trail is always a fine adventure.
