Powell Lakes is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Highland Park Campground is a pleasant site to camp nearby; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Diamond Lake is just a very short distance away. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Angeline Trail; while you're here, you might as well stop by Florence Canyon. Powell Lakes is a location that is reasonably dehydrated mostly; of all the months       in a year April is the one with the most snow, and February is the month with the least moisture. This site, the Bighorn Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Powell Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Lake Creek Campground; a spree to Medicine Park revives the spirit. This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Powell                  Lakes. The sight of pretty Bomber Mountain near Powell Lakes is fine, and let's not forget Powell Creek which is a stream that you may come across during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Powell Lakes; Mistymoon Trail is a tremendous local trail, and if you've had enough of Powell Lakes, Sapphire Lake is nearby. So much amusing stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains, not enough time. There's magnificent hiking along the Solitude Trail, and paddling on Tensleep Creek is so much fun. Summertime highs at Powell Lakes frequently tend to be in the 60's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 30's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Powell Lakes temperatures descend to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
