This site is excellent, just look at all the amusing stuff to do near Powell Lakes. Going for a hike on the Mistymoon Trail is always a good adventure, and Medicine Park is a good place. Getting to Powell Creek from Powell Lakes is trouble-free, and if you've had enough of Powell Lakes, Diamond Lake is close by. If you came to camp Lake Creek Campground is a great site to do that, and you can       go for a hike on the Angeline Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Bighorn Mountains for a brilliant time. A perfect location to check out near Powell Lakes is Florence Canyon. There's so much to do here at Powell Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Highland Park Campground is a glorious site for that. Be careful coming to the Bighorn Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. One of the main highlights of the surroundings of Powell Lakes is                  Bomber Mountain, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Tensleep Creek. Not much rainfall falls here at Powell Lakes; the month with most of the snow is April, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop by Sapphire Lake if you're here at Powell Lakes; it's close by, and if you need a site to stay Days Inn Sheridan is a great choice. During the summertime months at Powell Lakes highs are mostly in the 60's while nighttime lows are typically in the 30's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Powell Lakes dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
