Man, is there a heap of fun things to do in close proximity to Poison Lake. While you're here at Poison Lake you can take a hike along the Sweetwater Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Middle Popo Agie River offers some delightful whitewater. Hiking along the Pinto Park Trail is glorious fun, naturally you could also go to Coon Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors       cool stuff the Wind River Range has to offer. If you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a pleasant choice. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Wind River Range is great! Poison Lake is a tremendous site to visit for more than one day, Big Sandy Campground is a tremendous site to camp nearby, and swing by Tayo Creek it's a perfect place to stop at. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful. Not much rain falls here at Poison                  Lake; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is December. Dickinson Creek Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and Sweetwater Gap is a great spot to spend some time. This lake is so wonderful. Have a great hiking adventure along the Ice Lakes Trail; in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Stough Creek Lakes is just a very short distance away. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Poison Lake. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's.
