You'll need more than a day to look at everything Poison Lake has to offer, you can camp at Dickinson Creek Campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ice Lakes Trail, and a lake close by is Ice Lakes. At Poison Lake you don’t see much rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is December. This lake is located in the wonderful Wind River Range. This lake is so wonderful.       There's so much to do here at Poison Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Sandy Campground is a glorious spot for that, and paddling on Middle Popo Agie River is so much fun. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the area next to Poison Lake has to offer. The Pinto Park Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you get bored of Poison Lake you could also stop by nearby Mountain Sheep Lake. And if that's not enough there's heaps                  more cool stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Poison Lake is right by the Sweetwater Trail; Sweetwater Gap is close by, and is a pleasant location. High temperatures at Poison Lake during the summer months are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Poison Lake during the wintertime mostly plunge into the 10's. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Wind River Range.
