The beauty of Poison Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Douglas Super 8 Motel, and if you get bored of Poison Lake you could also pop by close by Basin Reservoir. Poison Lake gets very little precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Having a great time in the Laramie Mountains is trouble-free. Peterson Reservoir is a nearby lake

The warmest time of the year at Poison Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
