Lake Alice is a nearby lake that you could check out. If you get bored of Pocket Lake, you could also visit nearby Shoshone Lake, and there's delightful hiking along the De Lacy Creek Trail. Don't leave Pocket Lake without first going for a hike along the Shoshone Lake Trail; a magnificent close by hotel is Gray Wolf Inn & Suites. A brilliant site for whitewater paddling       close to Pocket Lake is Snake River; you can stay the night at Lizard Creek Campground. Pocket Lake gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Madison Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and the Mallard Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the                  70's to Pocket Lake, and the night is a little colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's.
