At Pocket Creek Lake through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 20's; night lows in the-10's for Pocket Creek Lake. Pocket Creek Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range. This lake       is so wonderful. The summit of Aspen Butte can be distinguished from Pocket Creek Lake, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Cottonwood Trail. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Wind River Range. A beautiful lake like Cottonwood Lake in the vicinity of Pocket Creek Lake is a splendid site to stop at, and close by you hit upon the Jim Lake Trail which is a good hiking trail. Do go to Wolf Lake right next door to Pocket Creek Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and Big Sandy Campground is a magnificent campground nearby.
