Not much rain falls here at Poacher Lake; April is when you get the most snow here while February is usually the driest month. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not explore Lost Lake next to Poacher Lake, and gorgeous scenery and great skiing is what you acquire at Big Horn Ski. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Bighorn Mountains. A gorgeous       lake like Grace Lake next to Poacher Lake is a delightful site to take a look at, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Paintrock Creek. Camping at Lower Paint Rock Lake Campground is always a good experience; there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the North High Park Trail. Poacher Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. A brilliant place to camp here at Poacher Lake is                  Upper Paint Rock Lake Campground, and get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Tensleep Creek. Near Poacher Lake you locate the Kinky White Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Antelope Butte since you're here. Poacher Lake is a beautiful lake in the Bighorn Mountains. Throughout the days of summer at Poacher Lake highs are usually in the 60's with overnight lows in the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 20's while Poacher Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
