High temperatures at Phillips Lake during the warm months are in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's while Phillips Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Bull Lake Creek; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Ink Wells Trail.       Be careful coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Grassy Lake is one of those close by; going for a hike along the Dry Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. That right there is a lot of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Wind River Range has it all. There's so much to do here at Phillips Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Longhorn                  RV & Motel is a wonderful site for that. A great close by hotel is Best Western Pinedale Inn, and get soaked paddling on Wind River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. And that's not all you can do here at Phillips Lake. This is a great area for folks who like lakes. Native Lake is a lake close at hand, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Phillips Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Circle Up Camper Court Shop is a nice local campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Dinwoody Trail.
