Through the months of summer at Pence Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Pence Reservoir. There are other spots here than Pence Reservoir, for example Rate and Huson Reservoir, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BUFFALO is a glorious site to get some rest. Pence Reservoir is ordinarily       a reasonably dried up place; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. The scenery at Pence Dam close to Pence Reservoir is wonderful, and a quick trip to North Prong Whitmeyer Creek is certainly a wonderful idea. This lake is so wonderful.
