Go to Peggy Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Going for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is plentiful here in the Bighorn Mountains. Drift down the rapids of Tensleep Creek in a kayak; why not camp at Cross Creek Campground while you're here at Peggy Lake. A good location to camp here at Peggy Lake is Highland Park Campground; you can go for a hike on the Solitude Trail.

| | gets very little rain; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. At Peggy Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 60's, and all through the night it cools down to the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Peggy Lake are in the 0's.
