At Peat Lake you don’t see much rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. There are other spots here than Peat Lake, for example Dyke Lake; hey, Cabin Creek is a fine local stream. Peat Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Wind River Range.       There's whitewater on Green River for all you adrenaline people, and the Geyser Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Wind River Range. Good hiking is available along the Moon Lake Trail, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Peat Lake; Roaring Fork Trail is a pleasant local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene locations, why not stop at Marion Lake right next door to Peat Lake,                  and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Pinedale Inn. You can run the rapids of Wind River near Peat Lake, and a delightful place to camp here at Peat Lake is Circle Up Camper Court Shop. This lake is so wonderful. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Peat Lake. Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a great spot to get some rest, and camping is available at Rawhide Ranch. Summertime at Peat Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's.
