Lake Owen is located in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Not much precipitation falls here at Lake Owen; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Circle Trail is always a perfect adventure, and a quick spree to North Fork Squirrel Creek is certainly a nice idea. Yeah, come up here to the Medicine Bow       Mountains for a nice time. Lake Owen Dam is not far at all from Lake Owen, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Laramie River. Summertime highs at Lake Owen mostly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's; nighttime lows at Lake Owen during the wintertime generally dip into the 10's. Be careful coming to the Medicine Bow Mountains, you might not ever                  want to return home again. There are plenty of people from Laramie here at Lake Owen, and one of the dominant marks of the surroundings of Lake Owen is Iron Mountain. Stay the night at Lake Owen Campground; the Pache Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Lake Owen called the Mendenhall Trail, and Snowy Range has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Lake Owen. There's so much to do here at Lake Owen that you need to camp here for a while, Hidden Valley Picnic - Medicine Bow National Forest is a fine spot for that.
