Man, is there a load of enjoyable stuff to do near Old Ram Lake. Ram Flat is a great site to stretch your legs a bit, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Ross Lake Trail. At Old Ram Lake you don’t see much rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Lakes? Sure, Alice Lake is close at hand, and float down the rapids of Wind River in a kayak.       This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. During the summertime at Old Ram Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 30's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Old Ram Lake tend to be in the 10's. The Whiskey Mountain Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near Old Ram Lake, and Old Ram Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at,                  Longhorn RV & Motel is a brilliant local campground. Yeah, come up here to the Wind River Range for a magnificent time. There's so much to do here at Old Ram Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Circle Up Camper Court Shop is a glorious place for that, and Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a fine site to get some rest. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Wind River Range will keep you coming back many times. If the weather is delightful, you acquire a tremendous panorama of Shale Mountain from Old Ram Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Green River offers some magnificent whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Near Old Ram Lake you stumble on the C M Trail which is a great hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Pinedale Inn is a tremendous location to spend a night or two.
