    Obsidian Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Yellowstone River is a great whitewater spot next to Obsidian Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Sepulcher Loop Trail. A short visit to Apollinaris Spring is always worthwhile, and Super 8 Motel - Gardiner is a tremendous place to get some rest. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Obsidian Lake called the Howard Eaton Trail, and Obsidian Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at,  
   Indian Creek Campground is a nice local campground.
Lemonade Creek is a brilliant local stream. Not much rainfall falls here at Obsidian Lake; May is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Best Western Mammoth Hot Springs is a good choice; if you're here at Obsidian Lake, checking out Obsidian Cliff is a must.

               side tour, try Obsidian Canyon, and you can run the rapids of Mulherin Creek. From Obsidian Lake you acquire a great sight of The Landmark; camping at Lava Creek Campgrounds is always a delightful experience. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Obsidian Lake. You're possibly hooked on lakes, Nymph Lake is one of those close by; going for a hike on the Mount Holmes Trail is always a brilliant adventure.
Throughout the summertime here at Obsidian Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Obsidian Lake temperatures descend to the 10's.
