This lake is so wonderful. The peak of McCormick Peak can be seen from North Spring Creek Lake; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Elkhorn Stock Driveway. Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Encampment River, and camping is available at Haskins Creek Campground. Just can't get enough of the Park Range. The Sandstone Divide Trail is a brilliant hiking       trail in the vicinity of North Spring Creek Lake; the summits of the Sierra Madre add much beauty to the region. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at North Spring Creek Lake; the overnight is somewhat colder of course, regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while North Spring Creek Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. If you came for an overnight                  stay Lost Creek Campground is a splendid place to camp, and after a long day outdoors CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a great spot to spend a night or two.
