What a nice lake Norman Lakes is. Not much rain falls here at Norman Lakes; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful. There are brilliant spots to look at along the Lake Ethel Trail, and Norman Lakes is not the only spot close by, Timico Lake is a close by lake.
During the days of summer at Norman Lakes temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Through the

dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Norman Lakes temperatures plunge to the-10's. This spot, the Wind River Range, has so much outdoors amusing things. It's always good to visit North Fork Falls, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Norman Lakes,
you could also explore close by Edmond Lake, and Pole Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby.
That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Norman Lakes has it all. Go for a hike on the Boulder Canyon Trail, and camping at Boulder Campground is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. So much exciting stuff to do in the Wind River Range, not sufficient time. Don't leave Norman Lakes without first going for a hike along the Horseshoe Lake Trail; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Pinedale Inn.
If you came to camp Scab Creek Campground is a great place to do that, and needless to say Divide Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth going to.
