Noel Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wind River Range. Noel Lake is a location that is quite arid usually; through the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's so much to do here at Noel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Fremont Lake Campground is a glorious site for that, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Dubois is a great choice. All through the months

| | of summer here at Noel Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Noel Lake are in the 10's. While you're here at Noel Lake you can take a hike along the Indian Pass Trail, and whitewater paddling is good on Wind River. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Glacier Trail. You'll need more than a day | |

to look at everything Noel Lake has to offer, you can camp at Trails End Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Klondike Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at; you can distinguish Mount Febbas from Noel Lake. So many cool
things to do here at Noel Lake, too great to be true. If you like the outdoors, you'll adore Noel Lake. Do set aside some time for Wilson Meadows while you're here at Noel Lake, and a lake close by is Don Lake. And that's not
everything there is to do here in the Wind River Range. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Titcomb Basin Trail, and Noel Lake is right next door to Backpackers Pass which is absolutely worth visiting. Get drenched paddling on
Pole Creek, and it's a great idea to take a look at Gannett Creek. Just can't get enough of the Wind River Range. A good close by hotel is Best Western Pinedale Inn; don't leave Noel Lake without first checking out Chimney Rock.

Double Lake
Fish it with royal wolfs being stipped on top of the water, big cuttthroats will slam it...
Suicide Lake
Had some excellent fishing for brook & cutthroat trout at Suicide Lake in August '05. The fishing was so hot I caught 2 at once....
Triangle Lake
12 miles away This lake is almost impossible to get to. I have been within two miles of the lake and can't get to it because of the dangers that surround it. There are cliffs and the trail to the lake is a slippery waterfall....
Hay Pass Trail
12 miles away I backpacked over Hay Pass (from Boulder Lake Trailhead to to Golden Lakes) last July 25. Easy ascent to pass except for stream crossings, trail gets faint for about 1/4 mi.above Dennis Lake (quite a view down to the lake. At the outlet of the unnamed lake (Beth Lake???) below the pass on the west side (at head of North Fk Boulder Cr.) water was high & swift, so I routed eastward around to the head of the lake crossing 2 inlet streams where they braid apart. through thick willows- a slow deal, but better than hip-deep swift water at the outlet. Great cutthroat fishing at Victor Lake (on fish to 19) during a hail storm. Guess the fish thought the hail was a swarm of bugs. Saw nobody else from Victor lk. to Golden Lks and back (3 days). Not the most spectacular scenery in the range (peaks are mostly round-topped, not like the jagged peaks to the north or south), but no people and great fishing (Golden Lakes had lots of 14 goldens but they were not biting- typical of goldens). Going in again this July, only farther this time, north of Golden Lakes. Anybody going that way?...
Ross Lake Trail
13 miles away In four days four of us caught 13 fish over 20 inches and 27 fish overall, none of which were less than 14 inches. Campsites are plentiful and established. Great views of other mountain lakes beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The trail is very nice and well marked the entire way. All the climbing is worth every minute once you see the lake....Ross Lake wasn't worth the trip. Horrible fishing and rough trail. I'd recommend other destinations over Ross Lake. Lots of the forest in the area has burned and is not very scenic....
