If you like lakes and you're in this part of Wyoming you can check out Lake Nelson. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more fun stuff to do in the Wind River Range. If you came for an overnight stay Upper Half Moon Campground is a splendid location to camp, and hiking along the Indian Pass Trail is splendid fun. Around Lake Nelson you don’t get a lot of precipitation; through the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is the month

| | with the least amount of precipitation. Summer at Lake Nelson comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Lake Nelson. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Pole Creek, and a delightful nearby hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Pinedale. | |

Just can't get enough of the Wind River Range. You could also explore Titcomb Lakes while you're here at Lake Nelson; it's close by, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Pinedale Inn is a nice choice. And if that's not enough,
there's a lot more to do next to Lake Nelson. A brilliant spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Lake Nelson is Boulder Creek, and going for a hike along the Seneca Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of
this region. Monument Creek is close to Lake Nelson and is always a joy to stop at, and if you've had enough of Lake Nelson, Suicide Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Trails End Campground if you're here
at Lake Nelson; the peak of Mount Lester can be spotted from Lake Nelson. Have a great hiking adventure along the Cook Lake Trail, and Lester Pass is another magnificent spot to explore close by. Lake Nelson is located in the Wind River Range.
