Mud Lakes is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. All our national parks are wonderful sites to take a look at, and Fossil Butte National Monument is no exception, and Foothills RV Park is a pleasant campground here. Mud Lakes is a location that is pretty waterless frequently; most of the rain falls during May; July is when it's the driest.

| | explore during your stay, and Mud Lakes is right by the Pine Creek Trail. Summer at Mud Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Mud Lakes. During your spree to Mud Lakes you'll meet some people from Evanston for sure, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Viva-naughton Marina is a nice place to camp.
