Grand Teton National Park is relatively near Mud Lake; there's great hiking along the Clear Creek Trail. Stay the night at Hatchet Campground; Soda Fork Meadows is a pleasant site here at Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Colter Bay Village is a wonderful choice, and Mud Lake is not the only spot nearby, Divide Lake is a nearby lake. Togwotee       Mountain Lodge is a perfect place to get some rest; Turpin Meadow Campground is a tremendous campground nearby. From a rainfall point of view Mud Lake is a rather normal spot; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Mud Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's,                  and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Mud Lake sink into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Divide Trail; a lake nearby is Clear Creek Lake. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
