Drift down the rapids of Green River in a kayak, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Lake of the Woods Trail. For the period of the summertime at Mud Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 30's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mud Lake. If you come       at the right time of year, Boulder Creek offers some great whitewater; why not a little side trip to Moose Creek. Mud Lake is pretty dried up frequently; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. So much cool stuff to do in the Wind River Range, not sufficient time. The Narrows Campground is a good local campground. Mud Lake is located in the Wind River Range. This lake is so wonderful. Why                  not camp at Whiskey Grove Campground if you're here at Mud Lake; Super 8 Dubois is a good site to get some rest. On a glorious day at Mud Lake you can take a hike along the South Gypsum Trail. Lakes are great; Brook Lake is a lake that's near Mud Lake. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do near Mud Lake.
