A delightful site to camp here at Mud Lake is Longhorn RV & Motel. At Mud Lake you don’t see much precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Mud Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Double Cabin Campground is a fine local campground,
and perfect hiking is available along the Boundary Trail. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Absaroka Range. There's brilliant hiking along the Wiggins Fork Trail, and a fine
nearby hotel is The Cody. This lake is so wonderful. Wind River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Indian Point is an out of the ordinary site to explore while at Mud Lake.
